Inspired by the late edo period Japanese artist Hokusai. The product is sculpted to depict enormous waves off the coast of the prefecture of Kanagawa. Curling and rising very much like a tsunami. Reflecting the sudden fury of the ocean’s leap towards the sky. The inner side of the curve depicts splashing claw like crests as it sprays forth droplets. It is made into bookends that mirrors the image of the wave on both sides.
